Since 1998, Ms. Mao Chunyi, who was then the dean, visited Denmark. Since then, several hospital leaders, as well as a large number of department heads, nurses, and department backbones, had visited countries such as the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, regions as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan to inspect and learn about the advanced medical technology and management concepts. During this period, we welcomed academic groups like Taiwan Soong Ching Ling Foundation of China, Aichi Prefecture from Japan, Sino-French Medical Exchange association, the list can go on. In 2008 and 2009, the hospital was granted the "International Cooperation Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine “by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the “International Education and Training Base of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine”. The hospital's influence among international peers gradually strengthened.
